Your data.
Dimpy only reads messages sent to it. Here is exactly what it reads, what it never does, and what it keeps. The notice for the waitlist on this site is at the end.
What it reads
- What you text it in your Dimpy chat.
- In a group chat you added it to, only messages that start with @Dimpy.
- Your Google Calendar, to write your morning brief and not add a plan twice.
- Your Canvas calendar feed, for due dates.
What it never does
- Reads messages that weren't sent to it. The rest of a group chat stays between you and your friends.
- Joins a group chat on its own. Someone in the group has to add it, everyone can see it, and anyone can remove it.
- Changes your other calendars. It writes only to its own Dimpy calendar.
- Logs in to Canvas or sees your grades.
- Adds anything to your calendar because someone else asked. In a group, a plan goes only on the calendar of the person who asked.
- Sells your data, shows ads or trains AI on your messages.
What it keeps
Messages are read, not collected
Dimpy reads a message sent to it, does what it asks, and keeps no long-term memory of your chats: it can't search old messages, tell you who said what last month, or build a profile of you or your friends.
What stays
Plans you said yes to, on your own Google Calendar. Reminders and notes you text Dimpy, until they go off or you delete them. Your account: your email, which app you connected and which groups you added Dimpy to, your Canvas feed link, your plan.
What the AI model sees
What you text Dimpy, and @Dimpy messages from groups you added it to. They go through a model route that keeps no data: the AI provider doesn't store them or train on them. Dimpy's own logs never hold message text.
Deleting your account
One button on Dimpy's page. It removes Dimpy from your account and your groups, disconnects Google and deletes your data within 24 hours. You choose whether the events on your Dimpy calendar stay.
The waitlist on this site
This covers the waitlist form on the homepage. The demos run only in your browser and send nothing. Last updated November 7, 2026.
What is collected
- Your name and email address.
- Your answer to "Where do you text most?", if you pick any.
- The tag of the link you came from (for example a flyer or a group chat link), and the time you signed up.
- A scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address, kept for one day, only to stop spam sign-ups.
The site also counts visits and sign-ups per link tag. Those counts hold no personal information. There are no cookies, ads or third-party trackers.
Why
To invite you to the Dimpy pilot and tell you when it opens, to learn which app to build next, and to learn which flyers and groups reach students. Nothing else.
Who sees it
Only Ethan Sachdeva, who runs Dimpy. Your information is never sold, rented or shared for marketing. It is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the site.
How long it is kept
Until the pilot invitations are done, or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first.
How to be removed
To be removed, email hello@meetdimpy.us or reply to any email you get from Dimpy and ask. Your entry is deleted within 7 days, and you get a reply when it is done.
Age
The waitlist and pilot are for college students 18 or older.
